For all candidates, the option to submit Videos of solo dancing and teaching is avaialble in consultation with the teacher trainer and panel of examiners. 

 

Solo Teaching and Solo Dancing:

• Bun Grad [Reel, Slip Jig, Single Jig and Light Jig] 
• Ullmhuchan [Reel, Slip Jig, Single Jig, Treble Jig and Hornpipe] 
• Mean Grad [Reel, Slip Jig, Single Jig, Treble Jig and Hornpipe] 
• Traditional [St. Patrick’s Day, Job of Journeywork, Blackbird, Garden of Daisies, White Blanket and The Humours of Bandon].

Céilí Teaching:

• Progressive Dances
• Long Progressive Dances
• Long Dances
• Square Dances

Written Examination – Céilí:

To determine the candidates knowledge of the Céilí Dances as listed above.

 

Written Examination – Ceoil (Music)

To determine the candidates knowledge of the following.

• Traditional Set Dances
• Time Signatures
• Number of Bars in 1^st & 2^nd Part of all Traditional Set Dances played plus numbers of bars played in all solo tunes
• General Theory

 

Oral Irish: ( This is not necessary for Non-Nationals or Candidates with Exemption from Irish)

• Name in Irish – Solo Dances & Céili Dances
• Call in Irish one Céilí Dance of own choice from above listings
